This ID/IC RF card reader is a versatile access control solution supporting both ID and IC cards. How to Use

The card reader connects easily to any device with a serial port interface. For RS232 connection, it can connect to computers, PLCs, or motherboards with RS232 ports. For RS485 connection, it connects to PLCs or motherboards with RS485 interfaces. The test software interface allows parameter configuration including reading mode, output format, baud rate, parity check, buzzer and LED settings, data verification, packet header and trailer settings. Users can set device addresses, read serial numbers, and configure communication parameters through the software. The reader supports both automatic data reception and HEX display modes.

Applications

This card reader is suitable for access control systems, attendance systems, parking management, elevator control, and various security applications requiring ID/IC card verification. Its waterproof design makes it ideal for both indoor and outdoor installations including building entrances, parking lots, office buildings, residential communities, and industrial facilities.

Important Usage Notes

Reading Method: For optimal results, place the card directly facing the reader and approach naturally. Swiping the card quickly from the side is not recommended and does not guarantee successful reading.

Metal Surface Installation: When installing on metal surfaces, the metal absorbs RF signals which can significantly reduce reading distance or prevent card reading entirely. If installation on metal is unavoidable, it is recommended to remove the metal portion behind the reader.

Reader Spacing: When multiple readers are installed, maintain a minimum distance of 25cm between readers. Closer spacing may cause interference, affecting reading distance or causing simultaneous reading.
