The RS232 Serial Port IC Card Reader is a contactless smart card reading device designed for reliable RS232 serial communication. How to Use

Connect the reader's DB9 connector to the RS232 serial port of a computer or compatible device.

Open a serial communication tool such as SecureCRT, SSCOM, or another terminal program.

Configure the serial port parameters according to the product specifications (typically 9600 baud rate).

Place the IC card within the reading range of 0–10cm from the reader.

The LED indicator will turn green when the card is successfully read.

The card UID will be displayed in the serial communication window.

Integrate the received data into access control, attendance, membership, or industrial management software as required.

A: No. This model supports only 13.56MHz IC cards. For both IC and ID card reading, please choose a dual-frequency IC/ID card reader.


Q3: Can the output data format be customized?

A: Yes. Customized output formats such as card UID only, prefixes, suffixes, or specific data structures are available for bulk orders.


Q4: Why is the reading distance shorter than expected?

A: The standard reading distance is up to 10cm. Please ensure that a compatible IC card is being used and that there is no metal interference near the reader.
